Abstract A diverse collection of images taken by Mr. Olson, that spans from the 1950s to the 1980s and its images include such topics as the Fargo tornado in 1957, Native Americans, and the Vietnam War. Most were taken by Cal Olson while photographic journalist for the Fargo Forum. These negatives give a good reflection of life in Fargo, Moorhead and the Red River Valley, featuring newsworthy events of the era.

Scope and Contents The Erling N. Rolfsrud Photograph Collection consists of 221 photographic prints, which are organized into nineteen files. They were withdrawn from the Rolfsrud papers when they were being processed. These images were collected or taken by Mr. Rolfsrud in connection with his research and writing on North Dakota.
